Born and raised in East Berlin in 1976, he was taught guitar, percussion, drums, piano and singing from an early age. After graduating from high school and studying music in Berlin, which was now part of the Federal Republic of Germany, it was fortunately possible to travel musically beyond narrow borders.

For 30 years, he has played in a varied and non-rigid way of thinking about serious and light music, from baroque to rock music, from a cappella to large symphony orchestras, through many genres of music and through many countries around the world. For example with the “Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin”, the “Gewandhausorchester Leipzig”, the “Philharmonie de Monte Carlo” with fascinating people like “Lord Jehudi Menuhin”, “Elina Garanca”, “Monserrat Caballe”, “Placido Domingo”.

Alexander has played percussion in crossover concerts with “Metallica” and the “Scorpions”, among others. He enjoys being creative: searching for percussion sounds, composing or working on audio and video productions.

He has been married since 2006, has two children and left the vibrant multi-cultural Berlin to live close to nature in the Wetterau.

The Spirit of One Orchestra is an important ambassador for Alexander and a very unusual orchestra. Hardly any orchestra shows more how beautiful it is when all cultures stick together and make the air vibrate with a lot of harmony and joy across all borders.
