Fabiola Gamarra received her first violin lessons at the age of eight in the orchestras of El Sistema in Venezuela, with whom she has toured the Americas, Europe and Asia.
She participated in many festivals and master classes for chamber music and won the special prize at the Simon Bolivar Chamber Music Competition and the second prize at the Karl Wendling Competition with her string quartet.
Due to the special promotion by "El Sistema", the violinist played in the Simón Bolívar Orchestra and in the Teresa Carreño Orchestra as 2nd violin part leader for 9 years under conductors such as Claudio Abbado, Sir Simon Rattle, Giuseppe Sinopoli and Gustavo Dudamel. Tours with both orchestras have taken her to America, Europe and Asia.
Fabiola studied at the State University of Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart with Prof. Christine Busch and has a permanent position with the Württemberg Philharmonic Orchestra in Reutlingen.
