Das deutsche Kunstlied ist eine besondere Kunstform und hat sich im 21. Jahrhundert nicht weiter verändert. Der intime Charakter von Sänger & Klavier ist de facto unangetastet geblieben, ebenso wie die Verwurzelung in der deutschen Romantik. In « Das Lied 2.0. » brechen wir diese Liedtradition auf und öffnen sie für neue orchestrale Klangfarben, ethnische Instrumente & Sänger aus anderen Kulturen, stellen den Texten ähnliche Texte aus anderen Kulturen gegenüber und mischen die Klangfarben klassisch europäisch ausgebildeter Sänger mit denen von Sängern aus anderen Kulturen. Berühmte Lieder aus den Zyklen von Schubert, Schumann, Liszt, Strauss & Werum werden nicht nur orchestriert, sondern auch kompositorisch umgestaltet.

The German art song is a special art form and has not changed further in the 21st century. The intimate character of singer & piano have remained de facto untouched, as well as the rootedness in German Romanticism.
In « Das Lied » we break this song tradition and open it up to new orchestral timbres, ethnic instruments & singers from other cultures, juxtapose the lyrics with similar texts from other cultures and mix the timbres of classically European trained singers with the singers from other cultures.
Famous songs from the cycles of Schubert, Schuman, Liszt, Strauss and Werum are not only orchestrated, but also transformed compositionally. This project is most comparable to the folk songs of Luciano Berio.
