The "World Symphony"
Just as the car started its triumphal march around the world from Stuttgart, this orchestra has big plans.
And if its successes in the German-speaking world are any indication, the world is in for some fantastic music and entertainment.
HISTORY
Founded in 2010 in the Rosenstein district of Stuttgart, the orchestra began recording with SWR in the same year.
This was later followed by Christmas concerts for the broadcaster in Rhineland-Palatinate and for HR in Hesse.
Recordings with the crossover tenor Jay Alexander led to several chart successes in Germany.
“Schön ist die Welt”, for example, topped the German classical charts for several months.
CD recordings for the Chinese high-end label “Rhymoi” with Daniel Stelter and a CD with the Indonesian jazz pianist Deviana Daudsja followed.
2 commissioned symphonies for SIXT AG took the orchestra to Munich and Davos.
The current CD “A World Symphony” with the Lebanese star singer Abeer Nehme caused a sensation in the Arab world.
Currently in preparation is the release of the CD “Das Lied” with Julia Sophie Wagner, Jay Alexander, Andreas Post, Frederic Mörth & Daniel Ochoa.
The feeling of home is something intimate and difficult to describe. It is therefore all the more beautiful to approach the subject with music. Look forward to folk songs from Germany and all over the world in the World Symphony's usual colorful arrangements.

Everyone knows Vivaldi's Four Seasons. But you probably don't know them like this.
Our musical director Adrian Werum has reworked all the seasons for our orchestra. And here you can hear how the whole thing sounds with pipa, didgeridoo, erhu and jazz trumpet solos!
Additonaly we perform famous baroque compositions like the "Italian Concerto" and excerpts from Handel's "Music for the Royal Fireworks"

But now we present the greatest hits of all time with instruments and singers from all over the world. What does that sound like? The answer is here!
For our grand asian concert, we are presenting big world hits on the theme, such as David Bowie's “China Girl”.
We will also include well-known titles such as “Mongolian Horse Race” as well as Chinese, Korean and Central Asian folk songs that have been specially arranged for our orchestra.
You can look forward to a popular and virtuoso overview of the musical diversity of this fascinating continent with the corresponding instruments and the symphonic splendor of our orchestra!

With this CD, the Orchester der Kulturen presents both a retrospective of its first 10 years and an insight into what might be on the cards in the future.
Sacred works, such as Adrian Werum’s remarkable reworking of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s“Ave Verum”, stand side by side with cross-cultural symphonic pop songs, such as “Sonbahar” and “Für mein neues Vaterland.
Longtime collaborator, Jay Alexander, sets new artistic accents with Robert Schumann’s “Im wunderschönen Monat Mai”.
One of the most beautiful voices in contemporary Middle Eastern music, Abeer Nehme, also features as part of the musical discoveries to be heard in this collection.
Similarly, Mohammad Habbal and the Philharmonia Choir Stuttgart with their fusion of the Arabic hymn, “Mowteni” and Ludvig van Beethoven’s “Ode to Joy”.

Since the beginning of our orchestra, our members of Turkish origin have been a great pillar of our orchestra.
