Alemannic Toccata for trumpet in D and organ

To let something develop from small motifs that are not too specific in themselves and that are somehow already familiar due to the occidental nature of the composition: This was my way with this “Alemannic Toccata” and in the way How these motifs wander harmoniously and rhythmically through the piece is one of the easiest to recognize the difference to a conventional classical-romantic composition:

Minimal music, jazz and pop harmonics, modal transformations –

To incorporate all these means without them gaining ideological predominance, that was so much my pleasure: Writing music that, hopefully organically, develops the great things that our culture already has to offer.
